Cave Tubing Belize
The most popular destination for cave tubing is at the Nohoch Che’en cave. This is part of the Caves Branch system and is easily accessible from San Ignacio and even Belize City. Guests get the opportunity to enjoy a short jungle hike after which they can relax and let the river take them through the winding tunnels of the cave system.
About Belize Cave Tubing
This full day tour is filled with activities for everyone. A scenic drive, which takes about an hour, gets you to the archaeological reserve. There’s a 30 minute jungle hike which features a dry cave with some unique formations. There’s also numerous plants and trees which your guide will point out and highlight some of the many traditional and medicinal uses.
You will then get to the cave entrance and float down the Caves Branch River on your tube. An experienced guide will accompany you all the way and provide very interesting information about the cave system and the Maya who once used these sacred portals to the underworld. There are many opportunities to take a refreshing swim in the clean, clear water or jump in from nearby rocks.
